Product Details
Kisspeptin is a neuropeptide that plays a key role in regulating reproductive function, mood, and emotions. Kisspeptin neurons in the hypothalamus activate gonadotrophin-releasing hormone (GnRH) neurons essential for reproduction. Kisspeptin also regulates the secretion of neurokinin B (NKB) and dynorphin (Dyn), which are involved in the negative feedback of sex steroids. Kisspeptin-expressing neurons are likely to mediate the well-established link between energy balance and reproductive functions. Exogenous kisspeptin can be used for physiological ovarian hyperstimulation for in-vitro fertilization. Moreover, kisspeptin therapy can be used for the treatment of postmenopausal women, precocious puberty, PCOS, endometriosis, and uterine fibroids.
